The cute puppy above is the lovely Curtis, who has one of the best show careers of any of my particolours in the UK. His first show saw him win MPD and from that point onwards was nearly always first or second winning hi way up and out of Graduate dog. It was at the Cocker Spaniel breed club championship show when Jerome Desmarcheller and Severine Cotterbrune from France asked if they could have him. My answer was a flat no at the time. The weeks passed and I thought about them often and realised that showing 2 blue roan boys was going to be difficult so i finally decided to let Jerome have him. He will join Barney a black & tan Lochranza boy who Jerome had a few years ago.
Jerome collected him at Richmond Championship show and as a final farewell I showed him in his first Limit Dog class and to everyones delight he won. Off he trotted to the car park with Jerome leaving me behind in tears along with Kate and my pals........ a day i will never forget. That night I got a lovely photo of Curtis with Jerome’s wife and a smile came to my face. He has settled well into their family and will shortly be campaigned.
