Lochranza Zippin Pippin
Over the years it has become more common in the UK to cross breed particolours and solids, a decision that can be controversial. However due to the narrowing of the gene pool and the decline in the quality of the cocker spaniel some breeders have decided to take the plunge and look at the cocker as a whole and not just colour. Here at Lochranza and Jayzander we felt that our particolours were producing strong substantial puppies and had qualities we wanted in the solids so the best way to achieve this was to cross colour.
Pip is the result of this decision and oh my it worked. She has the beautiful head associated with our solids with the body of a strong roan and a gorgeous red coat. She has been fully DNA tested and remained clear for all known disorders.
Pip herself has gone on to produce lovely strong healthy puppies. A decision well worth making.
