It is with a heavy heart today that I type this. Two dogs involved in our lives one way or another have sadly been affected by that illness known to all mankind and mammals, cancer. Henri’s owners notified me of his passing earlier in the week. He was only a young boy just short of 4 years old, too young to go to rainbow bridge. The other dog taken away is Abigail, who sadly didn’t quite make her 11th Birthday. Her page on here will shortly be updated. The photos above are of Henri and Abigail. I once read the verse below and copied it as I found it very poignant. Its title is simply Rainbow Bridge : There is a bridge between heaven and Earth, and is called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal which has been especially loved by someone here on Earth dies, then going to the Rainbow Bridge. There are valleys and hills for all our friends special, so that they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and Sun, and our friends are comfortable and sheltered. All the animals who have been ill or who were elderly, recovered his health and vigour; those who were injured or maimed recover what was lost and are strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times past. The animals are happy and happy, except for one small thing: each one of them alien to someone very special, someone who had to leave behind. All run and play together, but there comes a day in which one of them stops suddenly and looks to the remoteness. His bright eyes are vigilant; his eager body is shudders and vibrates. Suddenly you away running the group, flying over the green grass, moving its feet ever more and faster. You've been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, the two embrace in a wonderful reunion, to never separate again. A shower of kisses falls on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you can look again to the unsuspecting eyes of your pet, so long away from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then the two cross the Rainbow Bridge together... Comments are closed.
