On Tuesday 3rd May I Packed Hubby off to the doctors as he had been tired, flu like symptoms and most worrying to me bruising, not little bruises, large patches everywhere. By 6pm he was in hospital with a diagnosis of a form of acute leukaemia and had already had an initial dose of chemotherapy. They needed to find out which type of leukaemia so tests were underway. Within 48 hours we knew he had APML, acute promyelocytic myeloid leukemia, and had targeted chemo. How wonderful the doctors and staff are at the new Royal Derby Hospital, cannot fault them. Two weeks later the chemo side effects are kicking in, but he’s responding well to the treatment. I will keep this blog going to update his progress. In the interim dog showing is going to be hit and miss for a while but my pals are taking some of my dogs to the shows I cannot get to. Comments are closed.
